1/10oz Gold American Eagle Coin

The 1/10 oz eagle gold coins are the smallest and most commonly purchased of all US gold coins. They remain popular due to their recognition both in the US and worldwide, as well as due to their small fractional size. At about the size of a dime, they are easy to transport, and carry immense value compared to their convenient size.  

These coins contain precisely 1/10th of a troy ounce of gold, and the coins have legal tender value of five US dollars.    

On the obverse, similar to its larger counterpart, the 1 oz eagle, these coins also have the Lady Liberty depiction created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.   

On the reverse, from 1986 to mid-2021, a family of bald eagles around a nest is featured. In mid-2021, the gold eagle series got its first update with the reverse of the coin being displaying the head of a bald eagle.   

A full tube of the 1/10 oz gold eagles contains 50 coins which is the most popular way to acquire these items.
