Product Info

The Canadian Maple Leaf is Canada’s official gold bullion coin and one of the most popular in the world. The 1/10 oz coin is one of the smallest in the series. This coin is minted in 99.99% purity and with a face value of $5 Canadian backed by the Canadian government.

Through 1982, the RCM only struck the Maple Leaf in 1 oz but by November 1982, it was ready to expand the series into fractional weight offerings as well. The first of these fractional weight coins were the 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz coins. Another major moment in this series was the introduction in November 1982 of .9999 pure gold content.

On the obverse of all 1/10 oz Canadian Maple Leaf coins dated to 2023, you’ll find an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Coins dated 2024 and beyond feature the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.

The reverse depicts a maple leaf, the national symbol of Canada. It also lists the nation of issue, metal content and purity of gold, in both English and French, the national languages of Canada.

A full sheet contains 40 of the Maple Leaf gold coins, and it is the most popular way to acquire these items.

All sizes of the Maple Leaf coins are eligible for IRA purchases.
