The German 20 Mark gold coin was minted between 1888 and 1915. During this period, each of the three German Emperors, Wilhelm I, Frederick I, and Wilhelm II was featured on the obverse of the coin. The reverse displayed the eagle insignia of the German Empire along with the date of mintage and the coin’s face value of 20 Mark. Each gold coin contains slightly more than .23 troy ounces of gold.
Obverse (featured): Bare head of King Wilhelm II facing right. WILHELM II DEUTSCHER KAISER KÖNIG V PREUSSEN.
Reverse: Crowned arms of Germany, a spread eagle. DEUTSCHES REICH (Date) 20 MARK.
